I don't know if this is the correct forum for this question or if it's been discussed before, but I'm thinking about getting a cell phone for my business and I was just wondering if any of you had a preference for a particular model . . . one that works well for your business. I was thinking about getting a PalmOne Treo 700w because of its versatility, but it's rather expensive and the monthly fees are a little pricey. Any thoughts?

I have seen the Treo 700, it runs a Windows program. The screen is not as good as the 650 and I prefer the Palm software. These phones are not cheap and if it breaks what then? Also, the data fees are not cheap.
I prefer the Motorola Razr with a low cost Palm Zire. Two devices are a bit more cumbersome than one but it keeps the cost low and if one breaks I have the other one to work with.
If you need access to your email and a browser on the go-then get the high end smart phone.

I had the Razr one day before the 'send' button started to give out. The second one I had less than a week with the same sort of problem...and I'm very gentle on phones.

Now I have the latest chunky LG. I don't care about the camera, video, MP3, silly extra stuff. All I ask is that it make and receive calls RELIABLY, be pretty sturdy and Bluetooth compatible. Does the trick for me. The only drawback is not being able to see the time while on a call.

Fear of loosing my entire life if the Palm/Treo, etc got lost/damaged is why I'm still a Franklin Covey planner gal. Over the years I've moved to ever smaller sizes, and the one I've used the past few years is just a little bigger than a checkbook and holds scheduling by month and week plus extra cash, business cards, and the ubiquitous packet of Biofreeze. Another benefit is it fits neatly between the console and emergency brake so if I need to check data in the car it's easy to open without looking, one-handed, and then read very quickly, unlike any of there electronic planners out there.
