A York County massage therapist is charged with sexually assaulting a client, weeks after agreeing to surrender his license because of the allegation.
A woman went to Penn Township police on April 4, saying she was assaulted during a massage at Nature’s Bliss Therapy Studio in the 1300 block of Baltimore Street, according to a statement from officials.
An online search of licensing records shows that an investigation and suspension of Korycki’s license went into effect in March before he voluntarily surrendered his license shortly before the woman went to the police.
According to the filing to surrender his license, Korycki said the woman accused him of assaulting her on Nov. 5, 2021, when they were alone in the building.
The following are stipulations or “facts” agreed upon by Korycki and the woman in the filing:
The woman described Korycki as seeming “out of it” and that he had previously talked about using a vape to ingest marijuana before massages.
During the massage, Korycki groped the woman, uncovering her and re-covering her with a sheet, and said she was “so [expletive] hot.”
The woman said she “froze” when Korycki was first touching her, but got up and said she had to leave when he went to the other side of the table.
After she got up, Korycki acknowledged he was in the wrong and told her “I hope I didn’t mess this up for us” and “are we cool?”
The next day, the woman messaged Korycki to confront him about the assault. Korycki said he “misread” her and didn’t know what he was thinking, according to the filing.
The woman reported the assault to the owner of the studio and a complaint was filed with the Pennsylvania State Board of Massage Therapy, police said.
According to the filing, the woman and Korycki agreed to the resolution of him permanently and voluntarily surrendering his license to practice as a massage therapist.
The owner of the studio is cooperating with the ongoing investigation. According to the filing, Korycki received his massage therapy license in June of 2016, working at Persona Day Spa before Nature’s Bliss.
If anyone was or knows of additional victims, they should call Penn Township police Det. Eric Zumbrum at [email protected] or call 717-637-8751.
