chameleon newbie advice?

i am going to get a veiled chameleon and was wondering all the kit i needed e.g what king of lighting and where ii can puchase it all for the cheapest possible price

Don't think cheap or easy when it comes to chameleons. That viv is OK for a baby, but an adult should be in something 3 times that size! They need a heat lamp and a UVB bulb. The heat lamp should warm a basking spot to 95F and the UVB should be at least a 5.0. You can supply them separately or get a Mercury vapor bulb. Either way, replace the UVB bulb twice yearly as they lose potency. Misting the cage is important to keep humidity up, plus they do need a drip system as they don't drink from bowls. They prefer lots of fake vines and real plants to hide in. Chams are interesting but don't tolerate a lot of handling. I like this website for care advice:

That viv should be ok for a while. I would use something bigger for an adult. Mercury vapor bulbs will create heat and uvb. I would get a drip system for water and a fogger to keep humidity up. Chameleons are a lot of work and very fragile. Not very good for beginners so I hope you have kept easier herps in the past.
