just reading a study done here in QLD on Characteristics of "clients" who Reviewequent parlours and/or private working ladies and found it interesting. I placed it here but will also put it in the polls section.
I dunno what to make of it actually........... it was saying that out of 200 "clients" sampled that they were diproportionately in the 24-44 year age group. Clients who visited Legal parlours were younger that other respondents. And that clients were slightly more likely to be single, divorced and/or seprated.

The age factor fits (well it is a wide range, wonder if it was narrowed down abit what the outcome would be) BUT in my time I had always found the opposite to this study in that the perceneforum.xxxe of "clients" were married ...............

Any thoughts/feedback on this 8)

My thoughts

If it's an extract Reviewom "selling sex in qld", the sample was somewhat biased due to the difficulty in accessing clients.

Most of my clients were married too when I worked. younger guys visit parlours I think coz they want more variety and also want sex mpter being out at night. There's not a lot of demand (tho some) Reviewom net clients for night work, so most net wl's work day time. So parlours open late at night would be a natural choice I'd imagine. Outside of the net, there does seem to be a high demand, but if u r working alone, then you don;t want drunken dickheads annoying u and yr neighbours at all hours of the night.

If it's the PLA review then I haven't read it yet tho I hear it's controversial - all the pics r of street based ladies which isn't actually the PLA domain. also, given that there are 11 inner city street ladies working regularly, the pics in the review gives the impression that there are heaps of them which is not the case. LOL musta gone out and snapped all of them on one night, huh??

One other cxontroversial thing!!!

The PLA review refers to 1 incident where a wl on premises agreed to provide oral without a condom. they simply say it was found out "by a complaint".

Just to let anyone who doesn't know, the police came in and carried out an undercover operaiton, an officer pretended to be a client and really COERCED this girl until she agreed.

She got a BIG fine BTW and the Viper Room was not happy about the publicity.

The police also rang private ladies around ayear ago (pretending to be clients) and asked them all if they would provide oral without a condom and they made up files on the ladies who do, so I wouldn;t be surprised if they target private ladies at some point seeing as they have collected the data.

Probably do it (in my cynical opinion!) in time for the data to go into reviews to parliamentary estimates committee to get more funding....................!

I'm generally a fairly law abiding citizen, but it really does shit me when you find out that the police have pressured or COERCED someone into saying or doing something.

I wished they would go out and catch real criminals and rapists instead !

Better use of our tax dollars !

I did read the "Sunday paper" I think last week? in regards to the lady who got charged for NOT using a condom at a parlour - pffft - knew there would have to be something more behind it all - there always is...........oh dear power to the press hey :!: Tell it like it wasn't :roll: - reminds me of some people in society sometimes - telling something like it wasn't as if they were there.................

The "study" I was referring to come Reviewom In Touch October Newsletter - was a good read but I do beg to differ on a few of their topics............. :?

On another note but hopefully in sync with this one was the write about Jenna Jamison in the same paper - promoting her as the crem de la crem due to being the high profile porn Star that she is - just wonder when they will endevour to do the same for a high profile working lady - and yes there are many about - I guess it could be that it doesn't carry the same STIGMA as a porn Star - wonder when that day will be If only I owned a newspaper or was an editor of a newspaper *sigh*

Anyone who's had any dealings with the media knows that Arbie. In the few dealing's I've had with them - they basically write the story they want BEFORE they go out and get the quotes and pictures to go with it.

Perception is reality, not facts (at least to the media)

Hmmm hi all, nikki looks like you have plenty of material for polls and you are scaring us all with D&M. I miss the old days when we were all just shallow Just kidding - u go get em girl!!!!

I do agree the figures of 24 to 42 seem like crap - for anybodies interest the 2001 Census had almost 30% of all Qld males aged 25 to 44. Those males aged 15 to 24 only make up 14%, and the average age of a queenslander is 35. Also interesting to note numbers of divorced and separated couples are way up - possibly changing the face of the industry a bit.
