Members, if you find cheap flights to BKK , HKT etc please spread the knowledge! For us in the EU and the US the flight it’s the biggest cost and I know there are bargins out there. So, once you’ve booked yours let us know. I’ve done BKK and HKT twice in the last year and it’s been awesome! Thanks to all who’ve posted.

Actually a few days ago I checked, Thai is having a promotional fare from JFK to BKK direct. Since I want to travel in July, it's about $1235 RT. After doing multiple combinations of flights to BKK or HKT from the east coast of the U.S that is the cheapest I got thus far. Also, try looking into this site www.seeyouinpacificasia.com

Well how is anyone to know that if you dont mention it? Anyway as I said you will find all you need to know about any deals going on specific dates by using the seach button and putting in flights as I said mg:

This seems to make a big difference.

The cheapest flights seem to be with gulf states or middle eastern airlines but I personally don't like stopping flights. Even more, I hate dry flights! In April last year I flew with Kuwait Airways. Shabby planes, poor service, no alcohol, six hours in Kuwait City with no booze and to top it all, the plane broke down when we boarded it on the return flight. It took a total of 26 hours to get from BKK to London

Cheap flights seem to be around £350 but I would rather pay another 80 or 100 pounds and fly direct with a decent airline.

I flew EVA Air in October last year. Very clean planes in full working order, plenty of alcohol, dozens of very pretty hostesses and a comfortable direct flight - even in economy.

I recommend negotiating with companies like Dial-a-Flight. They put quite a bit of pressure on you to book but don't take too much notice when they say they can only hold the price until the end of the day. You will probably get just as good a price the next day. Phone around and negotiate. Ask about direct and stopping flights and make sure they quote all taxes as well.

I went to Pattaya 2 years ago (£550 for 3 weeks including flight). Used Qatar airways which is Muslim but serve drinks ok. Stopover in Doha was for 1 hour. Would use them again.
