Cheap motels/ hotels in Edmonton? ?

I'm going to Edmonton in about 2 months with my fiancé and a friend of ours. We need to find a cheap place to stay for a few nights. We don't have alot of money, but were saving up as much as we can. We don't care about the quality, were only going to be there for about 2 days and then were going elsewhere. But if you could attatch a link aswell as the price and some info about how your stay was that wouldbe awesome. 10p for most helpfull. thank you so much.

Since it's during the academic year you won't be able to stay in a student residence. That's one good opportunity for inexpensive accommodation when you're travelling in the summer, and it's where I stayed when I was visiting Edmonton on a limited budget.

Have you considered staying in a hostel? The Hostelling International hostel in Edmonton is in a great location right off Whyte Avenue. There's also a private hostel downtown called GO-Backpackers.
