Child with Cerebral Palsy

Shout out for anyone who has worked with these
special needs kids.

I've just had a mother contact me about possibly working with her 3 1/2 to 4 yr. old son who had a stroke while in utero and as a result holds a great deal of tension throughout the right side. He is highly functional on many levels, but needs physical work done to help maintain flexibility, etc. While they have had physical therapy for him, they want to try other bodywork as well.

Any ideas, or reference books that others have found helpful would be great.

The local Courage Center uses Watsu to great effect. The heated water and gentle floating movements are incredible for CP clients. If she can find a practitioner/facility offering Watsu in her area, that would be great!

After looking up the info & youtube videos I feel better informed about how to help address the issues involved.

Will let you all know how it goes, once I start seeing the
little guy.
