Hello,I have learned and been using Usui reiki for almost a year so far. I really like it, it helps many people and is very relaxing. However, lately I feel it is interfereing with my Christian religion (Lutheran if it matters) mostly because of the symbols. I pray and ask God to provide healing through me before I perform reiki. I also ask that I don't want "healing" coming from anywhere else. Does anyone else have been in a similar circumstance? Any information would be helpful.

hi, i totally understand your thought process...lots of people look at reiki as 'laying hands' which has enormous biblical roots as i'm sure you know.i personally don't see a problem or interference with the two - i know that whatever 'energy' i work with is from my source - my one true source, and i have a great relationship with that source. ย keep up with your soul searching. ย my best advice is when in doubt, don't...but remember that the One you believe is works through you as well as around you - He is an intelligent mind, and He has given you a gift. ย if you feel like it's a good one, be grateful and use it to help others!good luck with your decisions!amanda
