cleaning pumps and bottles

It is a royal pain in the B U T T!!

Any tips on how you do it??

I wash mine with Dawn dish washing detergent and then soak them in bleach. I do this after they are emptied of their contents once. Would twice be okay?? Perhaps it depends on how fast they were used??

All I know is, those pumps are a real pain. They are impossible to dry out completely and tend to smell like the EO that was in them, even after bleaching. There is always a bit of oil hiding on and in them. Bottles keep their scent too, but they are much much much easier to clean. Washing and bleaching deoils bottles, and the bleach really cuts down on the EO scent that is left behind.

I have thought about not using a pump, but that is a real pain when using them during a session. The bottle gets all oily and then the holster would get oily because the bottle is oily.

Pumps are not cheap, about 90 cents a piece on MW. On average, I have to wash out about 2 or 3 bottles a week. I have about 10 different bottles of EO scented jojoba and 6 perfumed scents. I will soon be adding about 10 more EO scents.

Any ideas??
