I have a video here I want people to see. This is a guy that says he makes 100,000 or more a year doing massage. Does 70 hours a week of massage.

I want client to watch and give me feedback, do you like the educating process, how he asks questions, his constant talking, etc.

Practionioners, I'd like to know from your viewpoint about this guy. Legit, not legit, etc. I found some helpful things in other videos of his. I don't need to hear about the insurance scam he did. I'm already aware.

That's awful what happened with IMA. It was the first association I joined back in 2006.

That aside, I watched his videos on building a practice several years ago. Like with anything else I add to my business (and life in general), I use what works best for me.

As far as the constant talking during session... that's something I follow the individuals client's lead on. Most tend to like it quiet during the massage and afterwards I'll let them know what I felt, what I addressed and give them suggestions for how I'd like to structure our next session as well as tips they can take home with them for self-care. Other clients will ask questions or make comments throughout the massage and I view that as an invitation to share and inquire along with them during the session.

He also has a video about getting referrals and I've taken that to grow my business, but use different phrasing. I am no longer too shy to ask for referrals, but I don't say, as he suggests, "I really need your help". Again, I take the client's lead and structure my approach to suit the type of rapport that I've established with them.

There are only 148 hours in a week. It seems unlikely that this guy is able to consistently do 70 hours per week of massage (10 hours a day?), but it's *possible* that he has done that many in a week. If his claim of earning $100,000 per year while doing 70 massages per week is accurate, then he is averaging about $30 (or less) per massage. I would like to know if the claimed $100,000 is gross receipts or net income. I would also like to know if his claim is based on numbers before, during, or after his insurance scam.

Overall, too shady for me to take seriously. This is a guy with some good ideas but bad practices.

"Does that feel good...does that feel good" I'm sure she was thinking "Please shut up...please shut up"

I ask my client's throughout the massage if they're feeling ok and if the pressure is to their liking. I also warn them if I find a trigger point and let them know that it will be uncomfortable but I would never talk as much as this guy does.

I believe that even if you're doing a medical massage or sports massage, the room should be dim and have soft music playing. This is to relax the client. If the client is relaxed then the muscles are relaxed and massage is more effective. I worked in a sports and medical massage clinic and my room looked like a spa despite the modality.

I just think his constant talking and his tone of voice is creepy...
