Hi guys
A different topic this time? I have a friend who is on Clomid - for fertility, she has already one reflexology treatment (using her as a case study) but on her second treatment just before we started after taking my reflexology chair, towels, oils, powder, reflexology stool, in the pouring rain, she announced she was on the 2nd day of 5 tablets of Clomid. I felt uneasy about this and said I did not want to interrupt the 'medical' side of things going near her ovaries, uterus and fallopian tubes whilst doing a treatment. I could have just avoided those areas but I felt completely uneasy about it and I always say 'if in doubt, don't!'. I did stress to her that after her 5 days of medication I would be happy to continue reflexology then. I have heard from my tutor it would have been fine to continue! I have heard from a midwife - don't treat, wait until she has takenmedication, I have heard from another reflexologist to stay away in early pregnancy and if on Clomid, anda woman who is quite well known on the internet (called the babymaker) that she has and will in future treat people on any medicationwhether for fertility or otherwise. I thought her comments were quite contraversial but I don't agree with her. What would you do ?
Has anyone turned a fertility client away?
Thanks in advance.
