and after u finish ur action, come out of adilita, take a taxi(many wil be waiting out side). tell the cab driver to drop u at border. again it is 5$. please go through some earlier posts, you will get a good idea on the do's and dont's in TJ.

you can get back with your driver's license...You don't know where you want to go? If you want to go to the red light district, you can ask a taxi to take you to Adelitas....he may tell you about other places, but just tell him no thanks....he might even tell you Adelitas is closed or the Zona is closed...just tell him it is ok, and you are meeting people outside...

Taxi should not be more than $5, and negotiate the price before getting in....have fun.

I will be going to TJ for some long awaited action. What do I need to get back over the border? Do I need a Passport or my Retired Military ID card and Driver's license is good enough? Where do I go as soon as I cross over into TJ? I plan on parking on the US side.

Just after 9/11 traffic to Mexico slowed down considerably for a few weeks or months. But 9/11 isn't a concern now regarding going to or from Mexico. If anything the new passport confusion and failure to upgrade the border cities of Ensenada and Tijuana have more to do with the lack of traffic to those cities from US citizens, but still they got thousands of visitors every week and those cities are still very busy.

When I go down to Ensenada I usually don't monger, but I do check out places like Anthony's briefly, and I believe the prices are about $100 bucks for a girl, and then you have some much smaller places I bet you can even get it for cheaper, but I'm not sure. Ensenada's bar scene just isn't as busy as TJ's so the bars can command a little bit more money for it's girls.

The pedestrian crossing varies wildly by time and day of the week, If you cross in the wee hours on a weeknight it can take 5-10 minutes or less, Sunday afternoon (around 6PM) can take over an hour.

Generally the pedestrian crossing is faster, unless you have a Sentri.

Why would hookers charge $150 because of 911? Maybe some touristy strip club girls are asking this but at least in TJ the base is around $60 for bar girls and $30 for street girls.

I don't think anyone is getting $150 for 30 minutes in Ensenada...40 minutes by car is pretty good, you must have crossed at a slow time...pedestrian line can be less than 5 minutes to over 2 hours depending on lots of factors.

Hey guys, haven't been to Baja Mexico in 5 years. I remember the auto border crossing at San Ysidro took 40 minutes minimum by auto, when returning from Ensenada. How long does it take if you cross by the foot bridge?

I'm also debating TJ or Ensenada, but I hear the putas in Ensenada are charging $150 for 30 minutes because of 911. I say it's bullshit, and it's because my former buddy was overpaying them at Anthonys. He's doing the same in Thailand right now, and gonna ruin it for everybody over there too.
