Companion during stay

Hi -- To clarify: I am avoiding the "companion" via order as posted on many of the sites .. too expensive - no clue as to personality of companion: I am seeking a traveling companion during my stay AFTER I arrive in SJ late July? 4 days in SJ --- then either Tamarindo or Jaco for 4-5 days.

In the long term, looking for a relationship in CR where I will retire - but this trip is for relaxation and sexual fun.

Since you will be in SJ for a few days, you can certainly find a great companion at DR or KL. Talk to the girl for a while before you take her back to you room. If you don't like the test drive, try another. DO NOT invite them to the beach before you know for sure that you want tot go to the beach with them I have been lucky, but I have buddies that have had to send the chicas back to SJ on a bus. You can let them know that you are going to the beach, and you may be looking to take someone.

Michaelo...companionship is on every corner of Costa Rica. You just need to determine what type and at what cost you desire. For sex and fun tripping, best to go with a different girl every day for variety and learning what they are like here. Ticas, Nicas, Dicas (Dominicanas), Panamenians, Colombians...it is truly mind boggling. Why limit yourself to one companion for now? Pay for play is everywhere here.

Beachwise, you will find ready made fun companions at Jaco or Puntarenas. Tamarindo it might be scarse.

For true companionship long term, well that takes more time than anything. Doesnt sound like this trip you'll have enough of it. Maybe you will find a "regular" girl in the streets, shops or restaurants around here, but you will need to be here more time to get their interest in dating.

One thing you might want to try is to session with a girl and if you like her set up a date for the next day (afternoon). Go to the mall or restaruants and sightsee the city with her. You will find out what type of person she is away from the gulch and then decide to take her for a longer time.

Yes, stay away from the ones on the street at night, there is a reason they are there as quoted by coxslinger. You will be surprised how well the trannies look. :shock: The light is dim and don't be fooled, they also hang around in gropus and they will attack the unsuspecting or intoxicated male. Take taxis at night, especially if travelling alone.

Plenty of reading here, the guys on the board are experienced gentlemen who share their vast knowledge of CR.

I know that I am "going against the grain" here. I know it can be risky, I know of the transvestites, etc., etc. All good advice. I will be one of the few to admit, that on several occasions, upon feeling adventurous and curious, I have been with several of the street chicas [and yes, I made prior confirmation that they were chicas.] I must say, these were positive experiences at a reasonable price, and....knock on wood....no problem. In fact, on each occasion I was satisfied to the point of giving a propina.

I do not recommend, endorse or condone this. I am merely relaying my experience on this taboo subject.

Would I do it again??..........maybe.

I am curious, the common wisdom is that these girls are "street girls" because:

1. Are und***ge

2. Have no documents (illegal immigrants)

3. Have been barred from DR and some other places due to past
misdeeds (theft etc.)

So what I am curious about is if you have had any conversation with these girls and found out why they are "street girls" not "bar girls"?
