I have been hearing massage commercials on the radio. Alot. Ive seen ads in the paper. I just didnt get in on the marketing this year. Turns out, I didnt have to. Other people have been hearing them, too. and calling ME! The ads gave them the idea, they want to keep their business local, and viola! What a blessing!

Who was it that said "a rising tide lifts all boats"...

People are horrible at remembering names, they just get the general gist and you need to pray they connect it to you. The perils of mass media advertising!

One of our competitors was called Relax & Refresh and they did ads on NPR in DC for Chair Massage.

No one ever writes down a phone number when driving, so they would do internet searches when they got to the office.

Paying for #1 placement on search engines got us a lot of referals thanks to the other R&R!

Oh that's great! I was had a lady call to schedule on a GC redemption and when she came in it was actually a GC for another company. She was SO embarassed but I gave her the massage anyway - her first one ever.

Two years and more than 2 dozen sessions later I was never so grateful for a mistake like that. *laughing*

I've made it a point to put good size ads in all the yellow pages for my area for that very reason. Someone hears the commercial or sees something on TV and thinks "I shoudl try that". Viola!
