Hi all.
I have just had bought home to me the benefits of Complementary Therapies with regard to Pain.
Yes I am a Complementary Therapist and have been treating people for many years with a variety of ailments that have included pain.
Three days ago I pulled a muscle whilst moving equipment for a class. Pain my god I had fogotten (as I had been pain free for many years) how much it affects us outside of the pain area. I went into one, Felt frustrated, Felt depressed and uselless etc etc.
It is now subsiding my group gave me healing, aromatherapy, you name it I got it. I am now back to normal (whatever that is).
I wonder if any of you feel as I do that maybe in todays fast society we are only treating the physical because of the timescale of the sessions?
As a healer and counsellor as well,I try to treat the whole, but do we without realising it cut it short because of the drive for money?
I personaly only charge donations because of personal beliefs. But I am begining to wonder.
Just that short sharp pain and the imobility of it caused all this.
