I am very excited to announce that I now have my own massage office!!!  I'm splitting it with another therapist, got a deal better than I would have ever imagined ($175/month!) it's in a great location (10 minutes from home) and I'm really excited about it!  This is my first official week and I already have 4 clients booked!  Now I just hope I can keep them coming!!!

Wow, that's the best news you can ever hear for another therapist.  So tell us all about it.  What's it look like?  How big is it?  What sort of building is it in, on the street, etc.  All the good stuff to get us salivating!Congrats again, Joe E.

Not too much to get excited about Joe...it's very basic but it's in a great location here in town, and it's a type of "Wellness Clinic"...there's a dietician, psychotherapist, reflexologist, prenatal massage therapist/doula/midwife, and a few other MTs, each of us doing something different.  I'm actually sharing my room with someone that does Rolfing, which is fine because I don't have the clients to support the rent full time ($350/month, all utilities included!) but now it's only...yes, that's right...$175  ;D  I saw 4 clients this past week, my first week, and I'm hoping that I can keep it steady with 4 clients each week until business really takes off  My favorite part is that I'm in charge of everything!  No more having to do things someone else's way, no more having to rush to finish one so I"m not late for the next appointment, I can schedule as many or as few massages as I want!  I have a feeling that good things are headed my way

I think it sounds great.  it's all yours and a great mix of modalities.  I think a multi-disciplined space is the best way to start.   You have a built in receptionist and a bulit in possible clientele to nurture.   does it have a name or are you going to be Reba's at "XXX".    I think that's an important marketing tool for you - biz cards,e tc.  Enjoy and congrats.  Joe E.

I am now "Customized Massage Therapy by Rebecca" (it's all I could think of that was simple enough  And I just ordered 500 business cards from http://www.vistaprint.com (shameless plug!) for about $20, my own customization and everything...not a bad deal considering a printer wanted $70 for the same amount on grey cardstock with black ink!!!
