Contraindication - metal rod in leg after surgery

My friend badly fractured his leg back in january and had an open fracture. A rod was inserted but the bones in his leg did not bond with the rod and so he had another operation yesterday to have a different rod inserted. He is now desperate to find anything that will work as he is a very frustrated out of work gym instructor that really needs the money.

Can he receive reflexology with a rod in his leg and will it help? is there any other therapies that anyone would suggest?

Please help me to help him!!!!

The rod will not affect your ability to do reflex. Obviously once the fracture has healed he can go for some neuromuscular techniques to help tone and repair the muscle, once 6 months have passed (or maybe earlier depending on the bone) he can then have some real deep tissue to reactivate the muscles etc....If he will consider Reiki this may well help with the healing process.

Welcome to the forums.

I agree with TigerBee. There is no reason why he shouldn't receive Reflexology and Reiki would certainly help.

Do try and cheer him up. You might have to call him Rodney, or just plain Rod. It is not the 'end of the world', people have recovered from injuries like his. It is up to him to set his mind to a rapid healing and return to his chosen occupation.

Trust in the Universe and the Universe WILL provide everything that you (and he) require.
