cops at red bean

Was driving by red bean a couple of days ago (tuesday I think) and saw about 10 cop cars blockading the Red bean Plaza as well as at least 2-3 cops in full swat gear. Does anyone know what goes on?

I know Red Bean's owner is the same owner of First Palace (recently busted) and 7089. Also heard that he's into a lot of shady dealings in Toronto and overseas... but Full-On SWOT gear? seems a little excessive.

Glad I wasn't IN there enjoying a session at that moment.

There was also a cruiser parked on Wilmot on Tuesday. Just sitting there, seemingly watching the plaza.

This stuff makes you paranoid sometimes.....

If it was Tuesday, it had nothing to do with Red Bean.

One of my clients owns the little printing shop next to Red Bean. I was talking to her this morning and heard that she was robbed.

The lady is close to 60 and the assholes beat her up and took some money..

oh that's a good thing..... (insofar as an armed robbery can be a "good thing").

with the demise of first palace I was hoping some of the talent at FP would find their way down to RB..... Thanks all for the info.

Btw.... 10 cop cars and riot gear still seems a little excessive for a one robbery. My friend's quickimart has been robbed 3 times in the last year and everytime it's been 1 cruiser.

Drove by the esna & denison intersection on tuesday around 1pm and immediately came to the same conclusion when I saw the cruisers and the entrance to the plaza was blocked. That the cruisers were there for red bean. Thought it was kind of early for a bust since most mps are busier in the evening.

My client neglected to mention that the guy had a gun and that she went for the gun instead of giving the guy the money.

That was not too smart... I have to ask her what she was thinking...
