Cops reportedly made a fake bomb threat to gain entry to a Florida massage parlor so they could install the hidden cameras that captured New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft allegedly paying for sex.
The details emerged Tuesday in a memo Kraft’s legal team introduced in a Palm Beach court, where they called the warrant obtained to install the cameras “constitutionally problematic,” the Boston Globe reported.
Kraft’s attorneys are seeking to dismiss the footage as evidence, saying such “sneak and peek” warrants are generally reserved for cases involving serious felonies, not misdemeanor prostitution.
Kraft, 77, was arrested on Feb. 22 for allegedly paying for sexual favors on two occasions at the Orchids of Asia Day Spa in Jupiter, Fla.
He has pleaded not guilty.
