GUILDERLAND โ Officers arrested three women Wednesday after investigating reports of illegal business being conducted at a Guilderland massage parlor, police said.
The investigation, which involved police surveillance and resident complaints, revealed massages were being performed without proper licensing at the A&B Western Spa and two children under age 10 were present during illegal activity, Guilderland police said.
Employees Hsin Hua Ho, 45, and Yani Du, 29, are charged with unauthorized practice and endangering the welfare of a child.
The women were arraigned before Town Justice John Bailey and taken to the Albany County Correctional Facility on $1,000 bail. They are due back in court 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
Child Protective Services responded to the Guilderland Police station for interviews, Senior Investigator Thomas Funk said.
YanYun Xie, the 34-year-old mother of the two children and also the business owner, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and issued an appearance ticket for 5:30 p.m., Oct. 13.
The Office of Professional Discipline and the Department of Homeland Security assisted in the investigation.
