Creative way to introduce week's spelling words?

My 5th graders specifically asked if I could think of a more fun way to introduce the vocab words in a more fun way. I would LOVE to, but I can NOT think of one.

My main problem is that I only have about 10 minutes. So far I just give the word and ask the students for synonyms, antonyms, using it in a sentence, examples, etc. They don't find this to be especially thrilling.

Any ideas for a 10 minute mini-lesson to make it a little more exciting/interesting for the kids?
