Crested gecko advice needed for a newbie!?

I purchased a 3 month old crested gecko about a week ago. Is it normal for the gecko to compleatly refuse to eat crickets.. it usually walks away from them. Second.. it doesnt eat much.. how much should it eat.. I feed it CGD..

The crickets are the correct size and everything.. Ive tried letting him hunt them, and Ive held them to his mouth.. he just turns his head and walks away with an attitude!! haha

You should offer it as many crickets until it dosnt want anymore. If you are only feeding him crickets try feeding him some fruits. Try baby food thats all mushed up. If still not eating take him for a check up. Hope this helps

feed it enough to fill up its head pretty much. or enough that it will eat in 5 mins. they take a couple weeks to get comfy. dont worry too much that its not eating. also have skinless tomatoes diced up and lettuce so it can munch on those when it feels like it. your gecko will eat soon just keep its environment at the right temp and the rest will fall into place. good luck

how big are the crickets? they need to be eye to nose length of your gecko. what were the people feeding your lil gecko before? Never ever feed it babyfood, its wayyyy to fatty. just leave the CGD out for it. He won't starve himself. Oh and it takes about a week or two for him to settle in.
