cross - reflexes anyone help please

Hello as a student I am working through the many assignments and struggling at the moment with a question, they are asking about cross -reflexes, I think I am getting confused with referral areas, my course notes just say use cross reflex areas if there are cuts and abrasions, severe bruising etc but does not explain what they are?

Any advice much appreciated please

The cross reflexes are:-

Foot - Hand
Shoulder - Hip
Big Toe - Thumb
Elbow - Knee
Wrist - Ankle
Top of Foot - Back of Hand
Sole of Foot - Palm of Hand

Hi Cherry

Cross reflexes are anatomical parts of the body, such as the knee or shoulder, which are energetically connected to another part of the body ie the elbow or hip. Working on any one of them has been shown to have an impact on its corresponding part.

Cross reflexes can be used for different purposes - say if a client has a problem with their shoulder, to be thorough you could work their shoulder reflex and its cross reflex, the hip.

If a client has problem with their shoulder but the shoulder reflex itself is too painful to work, you can, instead work its cross reflex, the hip.
