Your passport will get you across, just bon't lose it down there. A state driver lincense is all I take. On a busy night, you'll get across in 5 minutes.
Remember if your a american citizen you should not worry. It not just the way you look that they are observing. If you have nothing to hide act like it.

Thanks for the great advice. I am a total TJ newbie. One question I have is about returning to the US. I am not planning to drive into mexico. So I assume one walks back across the bridge or gets the taxi to drop you there. what papers are needed to return to the US? SHould I take my US passport? I am not a european-american (brown skin, sometimes mistaken for a latino) and wonder what kind of lines and treatment I can expect from US immigration. I am planning to go on a monday afternoon, btw.

Question about the MexiCoach. If taken, does this prevent one from getting in that long line the cabbies drop you off at on the Mexican side? Also, what kind of club is the Beverly Hills Club? Thanks.

Excellent advice from all you hard workers. One more thing, when you park leave enough money in the car to pay for the parking fee. I have gone to TJ many times and on occasions I came back with my last $10. If you go to Avenidad Revolucion go to Beverly Hills Club. I had great luck there. Good looking women, excellent CBJs and all for $40 plus $5 tip for the condom. I find that during the day there is plenty of action, no problems. If it gets dark, I just get a cab ($5) and avoid any problems.

Do not go to Luxor massage, near the border. A total rip off. clock watchers, hurry up, what is taking so long?.

IMHO, Adelitas still the best, never had a bad experience there.

I read a message from "Colombian Man". Sounds interesting. I have been to Colombia twice in the past year and will be going again in two weeks. Talent there is incredible and very reasonably priced. Again, I am an equal opportunity person, Colombian, Mexican, Asians, Canadians are all good.

True TJ during the day can be great! Not some many guys in the bars. Some girls just go not like to work at night. Different reasons it seems. But during the day TJ can be just as fun! Plus a little safer!

I've always wanted to do a day trip when I used to go all the time as an undergrad, but I always went at night. I'm curious how different things are in the day as far as the police and muggers go. I've never had a single problem in TJ with anyone, but I'm just curious if any of these problems with TJ police and muggings have occurred during the day.

Also, I never get belligerent in TJ, nor do I carry weapons, drugs, or do anything else illegal. I'm more concerned about muggings in case I decide to check out the street girls because I was mugged once in the red light district of Amsterdam (wasn't hurt though and got my wallet back, but with the money gone).
