A Med City massage therapist recently expanded her Northeast Rochester studio to offer more treatment options.
AnaMarie Moen has added another treatment room to Moen Therapeutic Massage in Suite 126 of the 1500 Building at 1500 1st Ave. N.E.
“The second room is called the Serenity Room. This allows me to offer simultaneous massages to couples and it is a room that is considered a safe and sacred room for trauma healing and for those who need a place to rest and meditate,” according to Moen. “Clients get to choose what kind of set up they’d like that best fits their needs in order to relieve stress and pain.”
She offers a full array of massage services in her one-person shop.
"My specialty is deep tissue, but I also do anything from relaxation massage up to working with people recovering from traumatic injuries and amputees," she said.
Moen, who opened her business in November 2019, moved to the 1500 Building at the start of 2020. After surviving the pandemic, she is concerned about her business during the reconstruction of North Broadway.
“We understand it’s a mess, but we (small business owners) are asking and praying that people don’t forget we as owners still need a job,” wrote Moen. “It’s heartbreaking how many we’ve lost since the pandemic and those of us still standing are truly fighting as hard as we can to stay, but we do need community support.”
