Did the show, Pokemon, jump the shark when they introduced more than 150 Pokemon?

I had all those 150 memorized! Then they brought in all sort of new, weird ones, and Misty was suddenly gone, it's like WTF?
User - yeah I know its 151 but was mostly marketed as 150 e.g. the pokerap!

and yeah they became a little commercial and stuff so they just create shitty pokemon :-(

jump the shark? never heard that one, but anyway, yeah, the first 151 pokemon were awesome!!
I had/have them all memorized as well (except i wouldnt know them in order) and i even had and still have all 151 pokemon in pokemon cards!!!
and then the 2nd generation was also awesome! - Typhlosion - my favourite pokemon!!!!!!!
and then a while after the 3rd generation started (which was still pretty good), i couldnt watch pokemon any more because i was forced to take the bus, and i eventually got out of it (about 3 - 4 years ago), but now a few weeks ago I'm offically back into watching pokemon!!
and now looking back on the generations of pokemon, I still think the 1st and 2nd generations were the best, the 3rd was pretty good, but then 4th was ok, but just wasnt as good, but there is still some good pokemon in it, but i think its just because of the different styles over the years, but even though now its pretty much impossible/very hard to still memorise them, or catch them all in the games, i think its still cool that theyre making new pokemon, and even making evolutions of pokemon from the first generation! e.g magmortar, magnezone, tangrowth, etc, (even though the styles are nearly completely different in my opinion)
