During the energy balancing part of the IHM routine I was doing on a client (who has schizophrenia) his energy felt very different from normal. Usually I get a warm achy sensation in the palms of my hands but this time it felt like pins and needles it was quite a sharp sensation and much stronger than I am used to. Half an hour later and thinking about it is making it start again.

I have treated this client before without this effect. His medication hasn't changed and his manner towards me and his mother (who is present during treatments although he is as an adult and never given me any concern about my safety) seemed the same as usual.

Any hints or suggestions? Is it me being more receptive or has something changed with him?
