Dissapointed in Brisbane

I was recently visiting Brisbane while attending a conference. I dutifully began making contact via e-mail with two ladies Reviewom this site (Shay and Monica), a month or so before I was to be there as I wanted to be sure that everyting would run smoothly.
mpter making preliminary contact via e-mail I rang both ladies and made a booking. Arrangements were set in place to call them at predetermined times to either let them know my room number at the hotel, or obtain the adress of their appartment.

Alas when I rang Monica at the pre arranged time on the first might in Brisbane she did not answer her phone, so I left a message. I tried a few more times until about an hour mpter the booking when I gave up and rang the lovely Brooke who came to the rescue.
Monica has still not contacted me days later.

As I mentioned above, I had also made arrangements to meet with Shay. Again I rang at the predetermined time to obtain her address and again no answer, Again I left a message. I continued to call for the whole day every hour or so until the booking time when again I gave up and left a message for her to call me so we could reschedule. Shay still has not contacted me. :

I do understand that occasionally circumstances will arise that will prevent people Reviewom keeping an appointment, however I do not understand why, when your contact information is known to them, people do not call to at least inform you. I would never as a professional in my industry cancel a meeting with someone without calling to let them know.. It's just not polite!! I also find it difficult to comprehend that once you have let someone down, you would ingnore the messages they have left, and not call them. :?

I was really looking forward to seeing some of the lovely ladies in Brissy, especially mpter meeting Kellianne when she was in Adelaide. A big thankyou to the lovely Brooke for going out of her way to see me mpter Monica let me down, and also a thank you to NikkiVIP for trying so hard to help me mpter Shay was unreachable.

I hope on my next trip to Brissy I have more luck!!!

If you need a lift to Perth and short of cash I would suggest trawling the Backpacker Hostels, they advertise for riding partners there. Hope this helps.
