DJ Tiesto playing in Phuket

Just been looking on the Tiesto website and apparently he is playing 1 night in Phuket in april. At the moment the locaiton is TBC, however i was just wondering if anyone knew where this may be?

Thats a real shame he is playing in April, I really wanted to see him, he is a great DJ. Oh Well, I will just have to go to Dragon and have drinks to make up for it...

Rumour has it he was scheduled to play at Seduction, but guess the 500K price eforum.xxx was a bit out of reach so it was cancelled. Just think for that price you could have a weekend music festival on the beach with sound, seforum.xxxe and artists included!
This is something that Phuket is truely missing, we have the Blues festival, and Hua Hin has the Jazz festival, but why not a music festival incorporating all styles of music?
This doesnt have to be a "rave" or Full Moon Party, but just a very good festival with a little bit of something for everyone.

We spent 10 months after the Tsunami working on such a project with TAT, Phuket OrBorTor, Patong Municipality and sponsors such as Chivas, MTV and Virgin Radio, but alas it only takes one person to object and the plan gets shelved.

However should k. Anchalee win the election on 20th April, this project may just resurface.

tiesto would charge too much to perform, i cant see this being true....
maybe a bout 5-6 years ago they could afford him.. promoters in aus have trouble paying for him even.. they pretty much need to sell out an event in order to pay for him... he is a great dj dont get me wrong but i cant see any club manager in phuket making a profit off this event...

on PVD he is the essence of DJ... ive played a set after him on triple j (oz radio) and went to his party in berlin b4 the love parade, he is a genius...

I am a big fan of tieesto.. i would even be willing to fly to BK for the night he is there to see him. Not sure Songkran season is the best time for him .. maybe still a few water guns lurking around!!! :
