Do I call her by her name or do I introduce myself this late?

I want to talk to this girl who I've been sitting next to for the past month and a half (during that time she only spoke to me once) in college. I don't have confidence (I'm not that attractive but I'm not ugly) and she's clearly out of my league, but you know what, I'm just going to give it a shot. It's time I take risks.

Anyways, I know her name because she's participated in class a few times. If I want to talk to her, do I address her by her name? Do I introduce myself? I think it's a little late for a formal introduction. My goal is to be a friend and get her number. If possible, take her out for coffee or something. I don't want to be stuck as just another classmate. I hate that. Thanks.

I would suggest you formally introduce yourself and leave the option open to go out for coffee or maybe even study together.

play dumb. if you call her by her name, it could be creepy if you haven't actually met. so introduce yourself. but say something like "hi, i don't know if i've introduced myself before, i'm Jake."
