Do massage therapists get to keep all of their hourly wages (if self-employed)??

Some make $80.00 in Toronto? I recently learned that massage therapists here in Toronto charge an average of $80.00/hour. This is considerably more than physiotherapy which charges about half of that. I dont get why basically on all career sites it says that massage therapists make less than physiotherapists and other therapists - ALTHOUGH a massage therapists' hourly fee is so much higher from my experience. Here you need a master's degree to be a PT and only a college diploma to be an MT... so i dont get this... please help.
