The other day I was on the train and an attractive girl sat down next to me. I noticed she wasn't wearing a ring, and she kept fixing her hair and looking my way from time to time, and she was even looking directly at me at one point. I looked back and smiled and stuff, but even though she was my type, I just feel too weird introducing myself to a complete stranger out in public.
I mean I've got no problem with just walking up to someone at a social gathering or something, but tapping someone on the shoulder and introducing myself out on the street just feels too strange to me. It's difficult to understand why women --wouldn't-- be put off by that, to be honest. I've felt strange the few times when women have just walked up and introduced themselves to me out on the street.
So is this really normal to women? They really don't see it as weird at all for a man to walk up and introduce himself to a complete stranger out on the street, and they really expect us to do this?
