Do You Do Client Follow-Up Calls?

How many of my fellow MTs make follow-up calls to their clients? What are your thoughts on this? If this is already a thread, I apologize for the duplication.

When I see a client who is being seen for the first time for a specific issue, I will always call the day after to see how they are feeling. However, I work on a lot of people who see me on a regular basis for general bodywork. I do not call them unless I am confirming appointments.

ditto. we used to call all new clients - somewhere in the busy-ness we got away from it. and to be honest, since we see so many for relaxation purposes, several seemed a little weirded out by it, almost as if they were wondering "why, should somehting be wrong?".

If it's their first massage ever, or if they came in with a specific problem, I'll call in the next day or so to see how they are feeling. Usually I don't actually get the person on the phone, so I just leave a message. Normally they don't call back, but they know that I was thinking about them

Nope, I don't. But I have thought of it. Especially if it is a first timer, or someone with a serious issue.

Since I just graduated my current clients are friends and people I see on a daily or weekly basis, I do ask how they feel or if the concern they had has changed in any way.

Very, very rarely.

I rarely do, but a great MT that I see does them all the time. And if she doesn't call, she'll send an e-mail. Her clients really seem to appreciate the extra attention, and it's helped her sell many more packages.
