Do you need to introduce pet rats in a certain way when they come together?

Well, I am getting rats in a month. I have done a lot of research on them and stuff. But I was wondering if you get your rats together do you need to go through steps to introduce them? I mean if they already know each other say if you get them from a pet store or something and they are in the same cage. Also, I know it is not the best option to buy rats from pet stores, but I really can't find a breeder anywhere near me and I don't want to adopt a rat because I want the rat as a baby. Please just answer the question. I don't need a whole shpeel on rats.
 
not really i mean sometimes you do and sometimes you don't, one of my rats just died a little while ago and i bought another one with the remaining rat and all i did was put it in the cage with the previous rat and they immediately bonded and got along i guess it really depends on the rats personality type or gender
