Do you think my wife is jealous when I get a massage?

Several year ago I told my wife I always wanted to get a professional massage. A few years ago she found a coupon in the paper and bought me one for my birthday. It was in the back of a hair salon. When I got home I could tell she was suspicious and she asked a few questions about it. She wasn't mean but I think she wanted me to reassure her that all that happened was a massage. We all know about seedy massage parlors that provide "extra" services. This was not and has never been the case with any massages I have had then or since. I've had one about every year since then. There is nothing erotic or sexual about it. It is relaxing. Do you think she is jealous or suspicious? Do you think it would bother most women if their husbands get a massage from another woman? If so do you think it is because of the already mentioned stereotype or if it is just the idea of another woman putting her hands on me? I've never heard of male masseuses in my area but would consider getting a massage from one.

I don't think she's 'jealous', perhaps just curious. Having a massage is relaxing. I am female and prefer to have a massage from a male, because their hands are stronger. I would get one every week with my friend. I lived in NYC then. There, you can find any type of masseuse you want. Maybe your wife can go with you when you get your massage. She may feel better about your going.

In Japan there are massage done by blind people. A good professional massage by a professional is done by some that have studied chiropractic medicine. I own beauty salons and we have massage therapists that are respectable. sometimes I want a good massage too. a good massage is soothing and a good treat. get your wife one too and you both will say AHH!! I am always on my feet and a good foot massage is a delight. When you get a his and hers massage, you both are relaxed and happy! That is why in the salon, a good shampoo and foot massage makes you feel relaxed and happy. Get your lady a massage too. you both will leave with a smile and relaxed.

i think she's jealous cuz sometimes people make it seem like its going to be more than just a regular massage.

its like would you get jealous, or be asking your wife questions, if she gets a massage from a man?? i think you would be suspicious too but you just need to reassure her that nothing more goes on when you get a massage

First off, I think it's GREAT that you'd consider getting a massage from a male masseuse in benefit of your wife. That's soo sweet and thoughtful and I bet she's lucky to have you as her husband. I would tell her that if you haven't, that you'd consider a male masseuse. She's probably jealous and suspicious, but that is in large part that she loves you and wants you for herself, which is understandable. Just keep reassuring her if you have no luck finding a male masseuse.
