PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Police have identified six additional victims who were allegedly sexually abused by a massage therapist, according to court documents.
On Tuesday, a Multnomah County grand jury issued its second indictment against 32-year-old Benjamin Thomas Collura. He was arrested on March 9 after detectives with the Portland Police Bureau Sex Crimes Unit received a report that Collura sexually abused a woman while she was receiving a massage at the River’s Edge Hotel & Spa in Southwest Portland.
The new indictment shows police have identified a total of seven victims.
Collura is charged with one count of second-degree sexual abuse and 11 counts of third-degree sexual abuse. According to the indictment, the alleged behavior occurred between Nov. 2012 and Feb. 2016.
According to police, Collura worked at the River’s Edge Hotel & Spa and at two Massage Envy locations between 2010 and 2013, one in Johns Landing and one in the Lloyd District
Police said Tuesday their investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information about Collura or anyone who was a victim of his alleged abuse should contact Detective Jeff Myers at 503.823.0595.
Collura is now being sued by one of the alleged victims. The woman is seeking $1 million from Collura and the management company of River’s Edge Hotel & Spa.
Originally, when KOIN 6 News first broke news of Collura’s re-indictment, he was out of custody. He has since turned himself into the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office and is being had at the Inverness Jail in northeast Portland.
