Does "Super Max Turbo Professional Slimming Massage Belt" work as advertised?

Hi,

I went into a store in a mall the other day and saw this massage belt called "Super Max Turbo Professional Slimming Massage Belt". Basically it's a belt that you strap around your waist and it vibrates over your stomach for about 10 to 20 minutes. The claim is that it sheds away pounds. I'm leery, it seems like a scam, but has anyone else used one of these things? Does it work? I just want to tighten up my mid-section and don't like situps (never have).

Massage belts for weight loss and fitness have been around from shortly after electric service become available . None of them work and none of them will. The secret to a toned middle is loss of weight by both a reduction of caloric intake and proper exercise.

Now there is one thing that may be helped by vibration and that is cellulite if it remains after the body is toned, but that requires a professional strength vibrator, time, and is not always effective but some reports do indicate some success. Outside oft his one specific cosmetic area no vibration does not shape your body.
