Does ultrasound massage have any effect on a liposuctioned area?

I recently had a hydrolipoclasia done on my abdomen, which is a procedure where there's a big amount of liquid injected into the target area and then the fat is suctioned.

I was told that a few sessions of ultrasound after the procedure would benefit and help with the swelling. Is this right?
