Hi,Anyone got any advice about teaching a mum to massage her 5 mth old down's syndrome baby. have been doing swedish massage on adults for 17 yrs and massaged my own babies but no specific baby massage training. Any paticular good/bad moves? All advice gratefully received...    Anne

Hi Anne,You may consider looking into reflexology in addition to the infant massage. An interesting quote from a former Chinese study says:

80 children from a school for the mentally retarded were divided into two groups, a control group receiving educational training in the school and an experimental group combining foot reflexotherapy and school training.
