I love this line:

"They have families to feed and bills to pay,” one customer wrote the TTC, “and I think getting fired for something as stupid as texting is ridiculous.”

I wonder if they would feel it was ridiculous if the driver drove his bus into a smart car or ran over a pedistrian because he was texting?

I also like the union rep line about how the rules aren't clear. I seem to recall when the story broke in January that the rule clearly states that if a driver is caught using his or her cellphone while behind the wheel they will be dismissed.....it seemed pretty clear to me!
