In Juarez, you need body armour, not shorts! I have worn shorts many times in Mexico when the weather has been hot. It is not a issue. Come down to California and you will see Hispanics wearing shorts. Just have fun.

True, true... I dont suggest cargo shorts, although I am the first to wear them - LOL. At least DONT wear the sandals or flip-flops. Besides that, you should be breaking up your stashes of cash throughout your body, and socks with shoes provides yet two more places. I always carry a stsh slid down each sock into the arch of my foot that I can access easy as backup money.

And no offense to anyone, but for Christ's sake, dont scream out TOURIST by wearing Hawaiian shirts or the lile - you're already white, how much more attention do you really want? Jeans and a tshirt or maybe polo are decent.

I like my cargo shorts and a nice t-shirt in warm weather and they are great way to spread out the limited money I carry to more than one pocket so I plan to wear my clothes of choice when I visit and it is warm.rbc100

Many years ago...I was told that the reason Mexican men don't wear shorts is because it's considered a sign of being gay. Not sure if that's actually true..maybe somebody else has input.

That is a good one DD. Wear what you please. The only thing I don't recommend is dressing up to nicely. You don't want to look like money.

In the summer I have gone down many times wearing cargo shorts and even a Hawaiian shirt and sandals. On a hot summers day a breeze feels so good when it runs up your leg and cools off them sweaty balls.

In short, dress as you please and good luck on your next visit and let us know how it goes.

I am curious! I come from FL and everybody wears shorts, I find out West even in summer Hispanics will always wear jeans, does it make any difference if I go to Juarez with shorts on??? obviously they know I am a gringo no matter what I wear lol. Don
