drive a long way, find out appt cancelled

Well, I'm cheesed off enough to start my own thread.

Have you ever driven a long way to an MP and find out your appt. is cancelled? Just happened to me at Invisible Touch. Drove there from downtown. Was told, "your appt. is in the book, but it's been scratched out".

Some part my fault. It was one of those "can you be here before 925pm? she has an appt. at 10". I said it was tight because I was coming from downtown, but I would do my darndest. They say "call if you can't make it". I say "sure".

As soon as it looked iffy whether I was going to make it on time, I should have said "I'll try another day". I figure booking near closing time is tricky - girls get busy, guys waiting in the lobby. I ended up getting there at 926pm to find out my appt. was scratched and Jasmine was busy until 1030pm. Was given the option to wait. I said "forget it". I understand cancelling if an appt. is late, but is 926 late for a 930 appt.? Maybe we need to synchronize our watches.

I think getting an appointment is always an issue at IT. They seem to prefer the "we'll decide if we will keep an appointment" approach. I think you do the crapshoot, find a time you like, and start booking in advance. Look at the website, or call and ask for descriptions of who's working and pay in advance.

I hope you paid them anyway for cancelling your appointment.

I find it hard to believe.... Have you talked about this with Paul? I can understand appointments being scratched because someone was late. IT has to follow the bylaws for closing so perhaps the late appointment did screw things up.

Paul does his best to keep everyone happy and as you all know its impossible for him to oversee every single thing going on.

I've never had problems booking appointments there. They might be a few minutes late, but they are always kept. I also always call to confirm. Perhaps you should have called while you were enroute to confirm.
