Drunk Thai In Sea Dragon

Righto, Now those who have spent a bit of time in Patong would have noticed the shoeless middle aged thai guy who always seforum.xxxgers around drunk trying to talk to farangs and generally annoying the BG's. I believe he has connections with the owners but may be wrong on this. He always can be found sleeping at the entrance to Soi Sea Dragon on the verandah of the bar on the left as you enter the soi at around 8pm. You can nearly set your clock by him. He's an institution just like the dancing coke bottle man. or Joy from Cpt Kirk. What I want to know is was was he sleeping when the tsunami hit, is he still with us?

I havent seen him that much since Octopus, the front bar opened again, where he used to sleep when I arrive in the evenings to park at the end of Soi Seadragon.

I dont think I have seen him since the tsunami, somebody else?

I assume your talking about the 'mentally chalenged' guy who likes to take his pants off and kinda blags arounbd bangla ??

I was reliably informed he comes from a rich thai family and has somewhere to live and sleep but rather than keep him isolated they decide to just let him out dialy and wander.. Tutuks get a payment for bringing him home when he is mullered and unconcious..

Dont know how factual that is but was told it by Thais I know pretty well..

He is related to the Thai family that owns Soi Sea Dragon. He is normally a very nice guy, but lately has started to show some rather violent behaviour, like throwing things at people. When this starts he pretty quickly brought under control by the Thais in the street, so dont worry about him, he is harmless.
