When I ordered my table through school, it said it came with the deluxe face cradle. The students that ordered their table early in the semester, got the regular deluxe cradle, and the 2 of us that ordered late got the new version. I love it, and so does everyone who puts their face in it! Its the most comfortable cradle Ive ever used! Cant say enough good things!

Does the cradle velcroe off of the metal bars by chance?
I have a stronglite table and I don't know if the bars will slip into the stronglite table holes, but if it can be removed from the like more cradles can, it may well be worth the cost to purchase one.

When I bought my Earthlite table for school, the new CARESS headrest came with it. I personally love it, and I havent had complaints about it being uncomfortable like some other headrest we use at school.
The cradle does not come off its metal bars, at least mine doesnt.
