EAST PALO ALTO -- A 66-year-old man was arrested on sexual battery charges Wednesday after police say he made inappropriate contact with clients at his unlicensed East Palo Alto massage business.
Bernardino Rosas Valle was arrested without incident for the alleged crimes committed at his home in the 2200 block of Brentwood Court, East Palo Alto police Sgt. Jeff Liu said. While police did not immediately disclose the nature of the sexual acts, Liu said they were committed against clients who sought treatment for a variety of health issues.
Valle, who is unlicensed as a massage therapist, has run the business for 30 years as a self-proclaimed "Sobandero," the Spanish word for "masseuse," Liu said. Valle has reportedly treated hundreds of clients for issues ranging from aches and pains to ongoing fertility issues.

While police have interviewed a handful of clients who claim to be victims of Valle's, investigators believe there are likely additional victims who have not come forward.
Anyone with information about Valle's alleged misconduct is asked to contact Detective Steve Ong at 650-798-5958.
