Hi! My name is Chelsea Fish, and I'm an aspiring massage therapist.
For the past ten years, I've struggled with chronic health issues from Lyme disease to mold illness to endometriosis. Needless to say, my career trajectory did not lead me where expected after I got my bachelor's degree! But I am grateful because I believe it all led me to my current passion. I can definitely say I have learned a lot and become a stronger person through my struggles.
One of the biggest pieces of my healing process has been discovering and utilizing bodywork (therapeutic massage). I believe holistic healing is a very important part of where modern medicine is heading and the projected growth rate for the demand in this career path is high for the next two decades!
I'm reaching out for support with funding my education to become a Licensed Massage Therapist in the state of New Hampshire. I'm currently working the front desk of and managing an established practice in Dover, NH where I have a job offer as a massage therapist waiting for me as soon as I complete my program. If you'd like to learn more about where I work, you can check out our website here: Integrated Massage & Wellness
The program I am enrolling in is called the New Hampshire Institute for Therapeutic Arts in Nashua, NH and is one of the oldest healing arts schools in the country! It is a very well-established and top-notch program for this field of work. During the program, I will be working full-time to make ends meet, and I am reaching out for support with funding the tuition and fees for my year-long program. I understand that everyone is feeling the financial pressure of these times. I also recognize the privilege I have to pursue an opportunity like this. I only ask if you feel that you can offer anything - any amount would be greatly appreciated and would help me reach my goal of being able to help other people find their own healing from chronic pain and illness. I believe deeply in the power of this work.
If you have any questions or would like to connect, feel free to reach out to me directly. Thank you for taking the time to read and consider making a donation!
In gratitude,
Chelsea
