Email marketing to gift cert. purchasers

I send out monthly email newsletters to my clients (and anyone who has given me their email address at events, etc.) via constant contact.

I have the snail and email addresses of all the people who have bought online certs from my website via Spa Boom but I have not sent them anything. I suppose it is silly to not be sending promotions/newsletters to these people as well as actual clients, but I don't want to be 'spamming' anyone!

Do you send promotions to non clients who you have mailing info for because they have bought a GC for a loved one?


Is anyone who already uses email marketing going to use the new Spa Boom email service as well? I like that SB is offering it, but I don't want to end up sending out emails too often.

Yep! I've never had a single complaint. Every email has unsubscribe instructions on them. If they're not interested they just unsubscribe, most keep the subscription and in some cases I've had a GC purchaser come in for their first session several months after they first bought the GC for the loved one. Once I had a wife purchase a GC for the husband, the wife started receiving the e-newsletters, and soon I had a ton of referrals from them. They both ended up coming in for sessions. You never know!
