Some of the Indy masseuses and SPs I see require that email be used for making appointments. However, sometimes making appointments by email can be quite frustating. Below are some of the frustations I have experienced in booking via email, and some of the adjustments I have made. I'm curious whether others have experienced similar problems and I would be interested in hearing suggestions from both hobbyists and ladies on the board for making appointments via email.
I should mention that all the Indys I see always seem to reply via Blackberry, and most of the Indys I am referring to are masseuses, and not SPs, in case these factors are important.
First of all, the Indys I email seem not to read the subject line. It's quite frustating to send an email with the subject line "Request for 1 hour appointment - Friday, June 3" and to receive a reply, with the subject line in tact, asking "What day and time would you like? How long an appointment would you like?" This has happened more than once. Now I'm tempted to write something cute in the subject line to see if they even notice, or to use the subject line for subliminal messages. Even if they do not consciously read the subject line, they may be aware of it subconsciously. The lesson here is to assume that they will not read the subject line at all.
Secondly, quite often an email request for an appointment goes unanswered. When I send an reminder follow-up email, they answer immediately. It's almost as if they treat their email accounts in the same manner as their Twitter accounts - replying to emails they receive while logged on, but ignoring emails they received the day before when they were not logged on. I used to think that it might be insulting to send reminder emails ("maybe you didn't receive my email - hint!"), but now I think that if I have not received a reply within 24 hours, then it is safe to assume that they did not even notice my email or simply forgot about it.
Thirdly, when I send a reminder follow-up email, they seem not to read the original email I have attached. Rather than read a few lines down for the info they seem to prefer to send me a reply asking me a question I have already answered in the previous email. The lesson here is to always repeat the relevant info up front in any follow-up emails.
The most recent reply email I received was quite short and abrupt - essentially a five-word email : "Yea,what time u want?" - no greeting, no pleasantries, no saluation. For someone who is supposed to be GFE, it didn't seem too friendly! It turns out that our the appointment fell through because she didn't reply in time. Now, I'm left wondering if I should even try again for another appointment with her, given the tone of her email, or whether the tone in a provider's reply email is even relevant at all.
I'm curious to know if others have had similar experiences, and any suggestions you may have. Or, have I just been very unlucky and happen to have selected Indys with very poor email skills?
