Energy drains with reflexology

Hi all

Quick question. I seem to see a lot of pregnant women wanting induction. Not a problem for me since I kind of specialise in maternity care anyway (although there are days when I pray for someone with IBS to walk through my door ).

Anyway, last Thursday I saw a woman who was 9 days overdue. The treatment went really well but it was like the baby was pulling the energy out of me and I felt very drained after the treatment (which was a nuisance as I went straight from there to teaching a baby massage class). I slammed up some chakra protections about halfway through (I'm also a reiki master) but they didn't seem to work.

Any ideas? I was absolutely certain it was the baby and not the mum who needed the energy. It's just that the only time I've ever felt that drained before was when I was giving reiki to someone with cancer.

I've had this sort of energy drain happen and also do reiki. I try to channel rather than give now, but am a novice at that whereas you seem very experienced.

Perhaps you were under par yourself that day.

Also the baby was preparing for the biggest battle for life. It may be a very special soul!!
Has she had the baby now, is it ok and did all go well.

Agree with Jan. You sound very experienced so not much I can offer here. Can only suggest it was a one off. There's not much more that you can do and we are bound to have some strange moments!
