Energywork in Thunderstorms

Had a question from a friend of mine and thought I'd get other peoples views on this for her...

"My friend has just asked me a question and I can't see it so I thought I would pick your brains instead. She was told by her Tai Chi teacher not to practice the Tai Chi during a thunderstorm because the energy is disrupted. Do you think this would have any effect on giving Reiki/Sekhem treatments? Is it another modern myth about do's and don't's with the energy. Have you ever heard of this? I must confess it isn't something I would have worried about, although the energy does feel different during a storm. What do you think?"

I know what I think but can I have your views please everyone?

Have to say that IMHO yes it's another one of those modern day myths....yes of course the energy changes with a thunderstorm, and it energizes many of us (no pun intended...oh hell yes it was)
I think that any 'energy' treatment given whilst its storming is something that is just so magical.

I'm not sure, but one of the noted martial art masters of Hawaii used to climb up on his rooftop to work out during thunderstorms.

I think the storms are energising - it's the wind that accompanies it that bothers me. For me it feels like the wind blows my polarities around. I notice that in Pilates classes after windy weather people lay down twisted, and we have to spend a few minutes straightening them up before we can begin the class. Has anyone else noticed feeling..........twisted by the wind? When I think about it now I can feel a mini-whirlwind in my solar plexus. But when I think of thunder and lightening I straighten up, and feel quite powerful (now just off to slip my superman pants on and do good).

My Qi Gong teacher says to avoid practicing Qi Gong outside if it is windy. The wind would blow the Qi (energy) away.
I don't have any personal experience/opinion about thundertsorms.

Is the Qi energy not mainly within us? How does the wind blow it away? Another myth perhaps?
